1997, the year I arrived in Riga for the first time! At the time, Riga was in full transition from a Soviet city to a Western city. This was the wild wild East, new companies were opening in a feverish atmosphere and Latvians were eager to meet Westeners, night life parties were going full swing!
After coming a few times on vacation, I decided to move permanently in 2002. It was then a big change compared to Belgium and Netherlands where i used to perform a routine working tasks as company employee. I needed more adrenaline, doing new exciting things and developing new skills . I joined a wine selling company and later move on with tourism where I could combine my passions: history, photography and communication.
My work allow me to use French, English, Spanish and Russian languages. I’m now an experienced tour guide for the Baltic states, setting up excursion programs for Riga Out There and guiding tourists around. Riga is the place to go, always on the move, do not miss it!
